    Ok dudes

Ok dudes. I'll be out of the scene for a few. Got an SSD that failed on my game rig so you won't be able to kill me until i get my machine back up and running.

    Smell ya laters!

Oh really. I was wondering where you were. I'm looking to get a ssd myself. Its seems FRAPS requires a fairly fast hard drive to record high quality (with high frame rates). I just got a new video card, so that's on hold.

Question: do sent PM's not show up in the "sent" box? Mine's empty.

You have to enable "Save a copy of sent messages" in your General Settings page.

Cool deal on the vid card!

Yeah, had an old Vertex LE 100G die. Surprised it lasted this long. Hence it being in a gaming rig (not too much important data to lose, cept config files which i back up regularly because of this purpose)

So how is the card? What res are you gaming at?

Hey. I forgot to mention. Try out Microsoft Expressions Encoder for screen capturing. It's great. Didn't see a limit on the trial in any way.

            Thanks Veggie.

The card (gtx 760) works great. I play at 1920 with 150 fps. I had it at 200 fps, but (not suprisingly) gameplay gets glitchy. I'll check out that program.

Nice card! Wait, do you have a fps cap in your config?

That I do. That option is in engine.ini if you didn't know.

Are you going to keep that option enabled? Did you always have a cap? Odd, I've never kept it on as an option. Nor Vsync..

Woot! Now I can rack up a few more uncontested 1st places when enoch's not on.

Well my trouble shooting has paid off. As I have found out before I have flaky SATA ports on my EVGA 760A1 mb. To antidote the problem I would just swap ports. I did before writing this post. I only tried the next nearest 2 ports. ...I took a day off from work due to a late and long evening last night. With my time off I decided before plunging into buying another SSD drive that I would give trouble shooting one last shot. Took the serial ATA cables and plugged them into a distant set of serial ATA ports, booted up, and now I'm ready to jump online again. While this is a victory it is also a short-coming victory in my PC woes. What caused this? 2 obvious things would be 1 bad hardware ports, 2 would be flaking software from a few variables e.g. data integrity from a high processor overclock (remedy down-clock) or a dying/corrupting bios.. ?? maybe...

Anyways I'm here to say I'll be able to re-join you renegades for a few games here n there, although work has put a limit on my UT3 time availability = 6x10hr days till January... anyways lets knock on wood and not jinx this odd turn of positive events

I pretty much just started using that when I got the new gfx card. Before I just used "cable modem" as the internet connection which gave me a 90 fps cap.
