Not able to play in Warfare Server #3

Hi all,

Since 4 days ago I can't play in Warfare Official Epic Server #3... I'm experiencing the package version mismatch and package not found errors in stock maps (i.e. Downtown requires "A_Vehicle_Fury", not found, download already attempted).

I cleaned my cache directory and then I could download a couple of missing packages, however this is now a real PITA, simply can't play .
Same maps in server #2 work fine for me, no issues at all. Can somebody give me a hint on what to do? Is it a server issue?

You need to install patch 5 (version 2.1) & the titan pack. Install the patch then the titan pack and you should be good to go. I don't know why Epic has patch 4 (version 2.0) up for download here when there was a patch 5. They used to have links for patch 5 then reverted to patch 4. Patch 4 was missing updated shader cache files I believe so they fixed it a couple days later and re-released it as patch 5.

Either that or the Epic server is running the wrong version (patch 4) That would give you a file mismatch error also.
Maybe Flak can fix this problem.

That is strange. Are you sure you deleted everything in your cache folder? Just to confirm I deleted everything in my cache and I connected fine. You should not have to download any packages from war 3 only the orb fix and ut3 fixes. Maybe it is a bug in ut3 fixes?

Read the Patch Update Info on 5 [2.1]
- do you see somewhere it says titan pack has been updated with fixes...?

^^ its been a while since i read the info but im sure it was titan then 2.1

^^ Check out The tutorial by Me and Bl!tz... on the uof forums and other places- it has the correct release date info and correct install order , most comprehensive version around albeit badly type up

Me & everyone I've helped with this issue has installed the patch then the titan pack. It probably doesn't matter what way you do it as long as you have the correct version of the patch installed. Don't get your panties in a twist over it.

Installed both patches, deleted everything in My Profile\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 (again) and still not able to play in server #3.
Dusk: A_Vehicle_Paladin version mismatch
Downtown: A_Pickups_Deployables version mismatch.

Same maps work fine in server #2

However I noticed that other servers trigger the same problem.

Did you edit the files?
Uninstall and install a clean UT3. Patch it and play (1.0 -> 2.0 -> Titan -> 2.1). Apply the patches to your install location.

You only need patch 2.1. It isn't like other games where you have to install all the other patches too.

You stated that you installed both patches? Does that include the Titan pack? Titan really is more of an add on that will give you the issue you are having if the server has the Titan pack installed but you do not.

I did a fresh install, installed patches including titan pack. It works (mostly) everywhere else but Official Epic Server #3.
Funny things: played greed, Anarchy Halls GT in greed server #1 and then I got packages I can't download from warfare server 3: A_Vehicle_Paladin, A_Vehicle_Turret, A_Vehicle_SPMA, A_Pickups_Deployables and A_Vehicle_Cicada.
But still complains about other packages (stuck at this point with A_Vehicle_Raptor).
So now I'm certain it's a combination of server config and my UT config. But still can't play in server 3 and no idea how I could play a week ago.

Any advice on where to get the -.uxx packages other than servers is greatly appreciated.

if you have a fresh install AND have patch 5 & the titan pack then the server files are probably corrupt or something. I'll try to join & see if it works for me.

I just played the server & it played fine for me. Here's what I think your issue is.
1: Assuming you're running windows 7, are you the administrator? Can you access the administrator account?
2: You need to run your game as administrator and when you install the patch & titan pack run them as administrator as well. To do this you need to right click on the launch icons & click Run as Administrator. You can also right click the icons & open up the properties & check the permissions in the Security tab. Make sure UT3 has full read & write access. If windows is blocking parts of your patch install because the permissions settings wont let it over write the old files that would give you the problems you're having. Make sure you open the properties of the patch & titan pack icons & do the same for them then try to re-install the patch & titan pack.
3: Go to Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Cache & delete EVERYTHING from your cache folder. Some of these files can become corrupt & cause problems. This probably isn't your issue since it's wanting to download stock packages the game already has.

EDIT: If you are using the steam version right click your game in your games list & click verify game files. Steam will automatically update your game with the correct files.

I am confused at first you said you could join downtown on warfare 2 but not warfare 3? The packages you mention are defaults nothing to do with the patches or titan packs not sure what they are talking about. Especially since you been playing with us for a while with no problems. After you did a fresh install you still should have those default upks you mentioned.

The only thing different on war 3 is the ut3 fixes.

When you try to join war 3, do you download the ut3 fixes mod?
