What kind of vehicles do you want for the next UT4(if it ever happens)?

    What kind of vehicles do you want for the next UT4(if it ever happens)?

    So as the title implies, what vehicles do you want to appear or change/modify for the next ut4?

    I would like if they can replace the Raptor with a chopper, I know the raptor kind is but not so much.
    I can imagine the chopper like the Hellbender, for 4 passengers. One the pilot, the pilot navigates and can shoot rockets, sense the rockets for the raptor are pretty weak they can keep it the same. The second one can be the gunner using the a machinegun kind like the one for the goliath. And the other two passengers for dropping them in key points like capturing the flag or a power node.

    Any other ideas?

      A chopper with 4 guys? Thats like a flying levi, and if you want such a vehicle, better give us air strike aswell.
      Idont care much really, i prefered the old scorpion than this one with the balls, and i prefer UT3 hellbender rather than UT2004's. Also, the possibility to give rides to teammates on manta wings was pretty cool
      Only thing i really want is to underpower the ****ing fury. Make it take 50% of the original damage, or make it half the time the ray is on...

        I agree, the old scorpion main weapon was a lot better than the flying balls, I mean if you are in the manta or viper and face the scorpion its over not a fighting chance. Yeah the fury is kind over powered.
        The chopper a flying levi? it sounds interesting. Well take the two passengers off and just leave the pilot and gunner. But yeah I would love a chopper, I know there is the cicada but its not the same its more of a plane.

            I would make the Scavenger more useful for offence. I only use it for transport, and it can easily get AVRiLed.

            As for adding vehicles, a chopper would be nice, (it would include 1 pilot, and 2 gunners, maybe has 500 health) but the chopper should replace the cicada, not the raptor.

                I mean vehicle game type add a gametype for everyone of all skill to play but I think it took away the competition away slowly for the UT series. That's just my thought and opinion.

                  Corrupt, I would like to see more team based vehicles, meaning that the effectiveness of the vehicles, or even deployables, would increase when two players work together. I think an underwater two man sub would be pretty cool on a water map. And maybe some living vehicles, like giant alien beasts that you can ride, fly, ect. I would espeically like to see the environmetns in the next unreal interact with your character, like the Sandstorm map in Ut3. I just feel that the vehicles should not be over powered, they should be for primarliy crossing great distances quickly or for defending control poionts. I think the Darkwalker was a bit much for example. I believe this would help bring some of the hardcore deathmatch and CTF crowd to other modes. Now on to other business,

                  Funny how you talk of saving the unreal community, then diss vehicle modes that played very competitively especially on console. I remember the old CTF clans crying about Oh, vehicles are for noobs, or it doesn't take any skill. Then I would say, well If it doesn't take any skill, than why don't you and your teleporting non stop homies play my clan in VCTF. It's the same concept, you just have to deal with alot more threats and mastering the Avril is Key. Also, It's not like you could cap points in the vehicles, you still gotta hoof it on foot. Bottom line they got smashed 3-0 everytime and that theme stuck till the competiton moved on, due to lack of new maps and add-ons, surely won't be a problem in the next installment I hope. I won't go into Warfare but I think Epic brought alot more players to the franchise by developing these modes. But were are they now???

                  Sorry NovaZzZ I'm not trying to flame your post but I think think that we need to keep an open mind and would suggest that we don't disparaige modes that we don't understand. For one I think Duel is absolutley boring, but ya I know the top guys are hardcore into the 1 v 1 and maybe it's the purest form of Unreal.

                  While Im here I'd like to say a few words regarding the community management of the Unreal Franchise. For the past five years or so, I have noticed that there has been a steady decline in the number of console users that visit this site. Is it because the PC crowd has consistantly looked down on them, or are these rumors that the next Unreal will be strictly PC doing harm, I don't know. But my question is, from a professional business standpoint, how does Epic games benefit from alienating the console community, why would you not be taking to social media and finding out what the public opinion is on the franchise, why not cook up something to bring the players back here. We want to be a part of an exciting new release when it happens. Just the same we want to feel welcome, and I bet a quick investigation into the number of console players that visit here (Unreal Forums), even on an inconsistant basis, would be shocking. I look forward to any thought out responses to my thoughts here are maybe you could call it a rant, anyway thats my two cents and I just want the pc and console community to work together. Thx

                    None... adding vehicles destroyed the UT gameplay style to try and compete with battlefield. that was how I took it anyway, to design a gamemode that used vehicles, (nodes) because that at the time seemed like the next logical step in the UT evolution of things, hated it in 2k4, still hate it with UT3. Would much prefer more gaming environments or a bring back of Assault.

                      "Skill" does not begin and end with those particular set of skills that pertain to Deathmatch/Duel. The all-too-typical condescending, self-absorbed implication that it does has more to do with what "took the competition away" from you than any vehicle ever did.

                          Vehicles are really fun. Most important thing for me is that it stays moddable but it'd be cool to see more maps like Torlan (Vehicle CTF) or just bigger maps in general.

                            I like the idea of a sub, but it seems you are looking more for the assault type game play. Yeah I agree too, duel I find super boring if anything they should make maps exclusively for that game type, because some maps are big and finding the enemy gets rather tedious. Need for small compact maps for 1 vs 1.

                              What about the Necris vehicles? I think they need a Levi of their own, but I can't think of one.
