maybe a drone where the person controlling it must remain stationary and when killed gives up control to the player who picks up the controller.

None. Would like to see UT4 game play not have to be balanced around vehicle game modes. The most popular arena shooters of the last 2 decades have not had vehicles. If there were to be an unreal 3 I think that would be a much more valid game for vehicles. Please epic just give us a solid arena shooter that's viable for e-sports. Adding in vehicles again will ruin the core (non vehicle) game modes like it did for your latest attempts at UT games.

For me, the most obvious vehicle to keep is the hoverboard (if you call that a vehicle). I hated being stranded in UT 2004 because my vehicle was stolen or blew up and slowly walking back to a node or powercore.

As for assualt, I would have some maps with vehicles, and some without them so there is a variety.

Yet another one of the high-"skill" players who are sufficiently narrow-minded, self-absorbed, and misguided into thinking that somehow, it would improve the fate of the game-type to which they've become addicted if all the others were eliminated.

My five-year-old daughter's toy broke, and she demanded that I break her sister's toy, to make it "fair".
              —Louis CK

              Ridiculous.

The sad bit is that Dueling and Deathmatching actually are the most useful skills to have in any vehicle game type. By using your already well-honed footwork, picking your battles wisely, and being a quick draw with the Avril, you can easily be a dominating force and a major contributor to your team's success — without ever touching a vehicle yourself, if you so choose.

Every one of the DM/Duel crowd would also enjoy the hell out of those "other" game-types, if only you'd tell your pride and addictions to go f*** themselves, and make an honest effort to have fun learning something new.

The scant few who've done just that have always been a joy to play UT3 with, in any game-type. It would be nice, for everyone involved, if the rest would take up the challenge to do the same.

Polish's heart says "Manta Manta Manta keep only Mantas om nom nom MANNNTAAAA", but his head realizes this would just turn everyone into a Polish, thereby destroying his identity.

lol...no need to be rude or sarchastic with thoses who think differently....who told you that thoses high skilled duellers didnt try thoses gametypes with that honnest effort??...perhaps they just hadnt the same fun with and to the question "what kind of vehicles do you want to see in the next UT"..."none" seem to be a valid answer....to me it mean "for the next opus please focus on the essentials, DM,TDM & CTF thoses gametype are the core of UT and have make its success during all theses years....free of buggs and easy to use would be the cherry on the cake"
we all have different tastes and addictions, it s so weird to read so many different requests belonging to individuallities....no way to please em all....UT4 can be a top if it s UT based (a tournament with thoses famous weapons and mooves) and of course if Epic decide to build it....
lot of us have buy UT3 to.....play UT and not to discover something too different
of course been a great dueller can help your team and is a good thing but lol...do we really need to tell this??? +.+ it s so logical and we re not retarded (i hope so @ least^^)
that been said i d like to add that i m not myself a high skilled dueller but more a tourist gamer, i tryed my best to find fun on vehicle servers...not my cup of tea sorry
peace! and sorry for my froggy English too

In my opinion VCTF is the best game type in any UT game. Sure its not as much of an Arena type of feel, but you duelers and TDM/DM players would still have your game modes to play. Of course everyone has their own opinion and my opinion (which I believe to also be a fact) is that vCTF is the most competitive game type in the UT series, not boring old duels. You would know what I mean if you look at the old school vCTF clans playing each other and having to use map control and also immense amounts of strategy and teamwork in order to win (not run around, shoot guns, and time objects here and there...)

So now for the vehicles, eh I say keep most of the vehicles from UT3, especially the F-f-f-f-f-furyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I don't really care about cars (scorpions) or Mantas though (they take hardly any skill)

                      - i am more concerned why Epic is experiencing a mass exodus of all of its workers

                      - and after bioshock 3 and using that GOW guy as a closer- im truly disappointed in epic
                      - poor servers poor updates and poor decisions- and now you beg for them to give you something more than udk?
                      - i think we should count are lucky stars that we have UT99 and UDK

let it die and just revamp the original series, we all know epic will not touch unreal until UDK is full integrated into the PS4 console - stop asking
                      - they know we all love Unreal - stop bothering them

                      p.s.
                      - all gametypes that have been made for Unreal over the years should be available- and all vehicles [we much needed balancing and fixes]- less opportunities for weird modders to mingle with nonsense
^^ the hardcore DM style UT3 should be the main focus- aswel as a great Campaign with real story

Oculus Rift + vehicles = horrible

-Unreal Original on Oculus = win

You people are ridiculous. There are different game modes for a reason, to appeal to everyone.

That said, in UT4 I would pretty much keep the vehicles as-is, except go back to the drawing board on the Scavenger and Paladin. Both don't really have much use! Perhaps make the Scavenger better in offense, or be non-AvriLable. And the Paladin can probably make a huge shield bubble rather than a dinky shield wall.

Yeah that's what I think too, they need to go back to the drawing board to fix some vehicles. The paladin is ok just to need to fix the shield, funny for a vehicle that works best for defense it hardly shows in the maps I think it only came up in two maps. The scavenger also needs some fix, viper is kind of over powered, the goliath armor its pretty weak along with the machinegun turrent very inaccurate unless you are very close as for the damage its ok. I guess the issue rises because of the super duper powerful link gun.

It just depends on your opinion and game mode you play. I don't see the problem here if you don't want play with vehicles then just don't vehicles have no place in dueles,DM,TDM,.. but warfare would be kinda boring without them defenitly in big maps (Torlan,Floodgate,Serenty,...) one of the things for instance is taxing the orb with the manta it's very important and can really chance the course of the game that doesn't mean their is no room for improvement certain vehicles like mentioned before have indeed not a real purpose (scanvenger,..) others are a bit overpowerd (furry,..) that being said there is something for all of us in UT if Epic can keep it that way I'll be happy Now where the hell is UT4???

I think the core of UT lies with the innovation to bring different game modes along with a substantial a mount of maps to enjoy it. Take CTF, its fun but with so little amount of maps to play and to top it a lot of the maps are kind of dull and boring. What did previews uts had in common? massive amounts of maps so you are not stuck with the same boring ones.
