    Sniping with the scope...

    Anyone else snipe like this?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abax4...=youtube_gdata

Here's how I do it (against bots anyway).

Sound or network latency, possibly. I know after I shoot the line will appear after. Not immediately. I'll look into that today.

I was also thinking there could be a video latency either from the GPU rendering or the LCD (60Hz)

Just checked my sniping while watching the animated line and actually I was wrong. Mine is immediate.

I'm going to try setting my monitor to 60Hz and see if there is a difference.

            EDIT: Tired it. No difference.

ShadowBot is a hack - you can see through the walls, have HeadShot without aiming (like in video...), be invisible, fly and many other things... Almost everybody is using that stuff in every possible game (UT3, AA, COD, BF, Crisis even RPG ) - I don't understand why, because it kills the gameplay.

              Have fun:

              Now you understand..?

I think just about everyone on this forum knows what an aimbot is. If a well known player is using one it's been configured in a way that's meant to decieve. I find it odd that Nanner fires after exiting zoom, but before I start thinking "hack" I want to know if anyone else does the same thing. l213l says he doesn't.

What's funny is sometimes I feel someone will be shadowing me. It's an odd feeling, every move I make they make the same exact counter.

I played against him tonight and until I started Demorec 213, I was unable to kill him. The whole while I was sorta 3rd person watching him and he did seem like he had just drunk a Pump Fuel from GNC (way better than any red-bull type caffeine booster - believe me, I've tried most) He really seemed to be trying, I on the other hand am not in the competitive mode tonight. If you notice there is a pattern with me. I do well when I am not in the middle of my work week. After Friday till about by Sunday or Monday I am a little better. I have more energy to play. COD games I could play all day long and not get tired, UT3 is NOT Call of Duty *raises hands at sky and shakes them like jazz hands and says aaaahh aahhhhmen*

I could be wrong, he may be doing what you are suspicious of him doing. I give 99% of the people the benefit of the doubt. I am an old man for this game. I take into consideration all factors that I know would make me even begin to think someone is cheating and look into my self. Things like, am I tired? Did I have a bad day at work and am I taking it out on someone else? Is my body relaxed and ready to compete? Is it the middle of the day where cable connection is more congested? Is it my rig/network etc.? Are they demo recording? Are they consistently good? How many head-shots in a row was that? Have they missed while shooting at me? And was it frequently? What is their ping? Is the server lagging? I don't ever see any dropped packets btw. and the list goes on. Some people are just that **** good. And I imagine they are young. I spent my 20's beating the **** out of people through-out Day of Defeat since beta2.0 almost 10yrs of it. I am not trying to sound arrogant but I was good. **** good. Those were my hay-days. I was an admin on the original Kustom Kettle, which is still around today but running different games. Great bunch of guys over there, but since source came out, that game can go the way of the dodo bird *whichever way that is, hmm - scratches chin looking up*** I started playing that game on a 423 socket P4 but enough of that. What would be great is to get all of us together that play on Beer Drinkers in a Lan Party. Of course with a medal detector before we walk in :P

Good points. Rarely do I accuse someone of hacking simply for making a good shot. Or even repetitive good shots. It's the weird stuff I look for. That scope thing is weird. Sometimes I see people shoot at corpses a little too often (not saying who, but that's weird). Frequent 180 perfect shots is a little weird.

You definitely seem to have gotten better over the last year or so, l213l. I don't have "elix ping" anymore, but you still seem to have gotten better. Lay off the amp though lol. And make me a new vid! lol. My goal is to get everyone to make one. That would be awesome. But I can't even get the people that said they would make one to make one. *Looking at you, Random54, JetSpandex, and Xmid.*

Yeah, I believe I did this when I still played. I kind of hit both LMB and RMB at the same time on my mouse when sniping from the scope. The "point" was to only remain zoomed in for as long as it was helpful so that you could return to your full FOV and scan the screen for new targets/players/projectiles as quickly as possible (whether or not you got the kill). Also, pointless to remain zoomed in most of the time during the reload animation unless the target was at long range, you felt safe remaining still, or the target isn't changing his angle of attack much relative to your screen. Hell, I would try to stay zoomed in for as short as possible only during the moment where you make finer adjustments after sweeping to the target. That's what I remember anyways... I haven't played in several months, committed to uninstalling the game indefinitely.
