Either I'm going blind or you didn't list a GPU.
The CPU also looks a bit poor but should be able to run it.

Unreal Engine 3 is quite a bit newer than id-Tech 4 (quake4/doom3) and a lot more advanced than the engine quake3 used, so the requirements are of course higher.

Search for dxdiag in your windows start menu or search for run and enter dxdiag.

Your GPU should be listed under the Display tab(s)

I have a feeling it'll have a hard job to play it. Even on low settings. But I didn't spend much time looking. Someone might be able to give you a more informed answer.

As Cr4zy said, it looks like it'll struggle (looks like a laptop?). I don't know much about ATI or mobile gpu's though so I can't say for sure.

If you don't own UT04 it might be worth looking into (UT3 doesn't have a great population count anyway).

yeah its a lap top. Can a lap top run it? A lap top that's not Alienware.... What would be good specs to look for?

Don't worry, it can run it, maybe not on the highest settings you can think of due to the processor but it can run it. Your laptop should be able to run it with something in between of mid and high details if I guess right.
It would be ideal if you'd have a (decent) quad core. The UE3 is quite processor-heavy.

The question is how well do you want it to run.

I'd like it to run full on! But I'm a realist, so any info on good laptops would be great.

Oh, so you are buying a laptop and you would atleast like it to run UT3, correct?

If so, what is your budget?

around $1500, but if I could keep it to a low K, that would be great....
