Yeah I wish they would just tell everyone the truth that they aren't going to make another UT any time soon and let people make one in the UDK. It would be so *****in' to remake the original UT in the UDK!

They have told people that...

They would never let the community use the IP without some serious NDAs, but there is nothing stopping anyone from creating their own multiplayer FPS in the UDK.

Guys, I'm right there with you wanting to have a new Unreal Tournament. It is still my favorite game of all time.

Let's have a little contest. The next 3 people who post after me get a copy of the original Unreal, signed by the Epic employee of their choice.

Non-Disclosure Agreement. It's a contract that basically says you will keep quiet about whatever is listed in the contract.

On the rare chance that Epic Games would allow a community-made Unreal (Tournament) game they will likely want each individual of the development team under some kind of contract so their IP (and the quality of the IP) is still fully protected in any event that might arise with the team. A NDA is the one most commonly used in such situations.
