    Anyone know which ini sets the default game music volume?

    I found a few and tried changing the volume to 0 but the game still starts with music volume about 1/2 way up. I changed the default key binds in a ini because they wouldn't stick when i closed the game. It worked great. But i can't seem to find the file that actually will change the defauly music volume, and i've looked in the program files and my documents/games folders.

    There are sound settings in the UI. I have the music on 0 so I don't have to listen to it. With some custom maps, you can not turn off the music. Very irritating.

      Some custom maps you will have to turn down the ambient sounds to get rid of the music. I am no map maker but I think they do it that way so there is no sound package needed.

        have you tried this? (program files and/or documents)

        Game.ini

        [UTGame.UTMusicManager]
        MusicVolume=0.00

        Engine.ini

        [Engine.AudioDevice]
        +SoundGroups=(GroupName=Music,Properties=(Volume=0 ,bNoReverb=TRUE,bAlwaysPlay=0))

        ???

        although i'm not sure if that will do anything...

          No. They do it because they're ****s. No other reason. Music can be stored within the map just like any other imported file.
