yeah try Audacity (it's free) version 1.3 beta. it comes with a vocoder effect.. which might be useful for making robot voices.

Try Googling Audacity or Pro Tools, I've not used that one...

    Agreed.

I have looked online and found nada. The closest I got was using Adobe Soundbooth CS4.

your best bet is google. there are many different ways you could make the robot effect. the UT3 sound designers probably used Pro Tools

It'd be a normal voice recording put through some kind of software (or hardware) to distort it.

A question about Voice Acting in UT3

I have played UT3 a lot recently and I always play as a Liandri bot. One thing that has always made me wonder is the tauntpack. I keep wondering "How do they do that?". And so, I am asking: How do they do that?

The reason I ask is because I'm planning to make either a Machinima or a game mod that have robots in and I wanted to create a taunt pack similar sound but also sound similar to UT2004's robots.
Working...
