when installing iget an error basically stating it is corrupt or will not work by the end of the install...

the reason why i want to try the demo is to find out if it will run decently on my laptop.

          http://www.filefront.com/8780331/Unr...t-3-Beta-Demo/

          could try the failfront one

found this accidentally while i was looking for it may be relevant if your running xp64 or earlier

          http://www.gamefront.com/ut3-demo-hotfix-for-xp64-2k3/

Note that it is a beta demo. It will run a lot choppier on your machine than the game patched properly to v2.1 It did on my notebook.

          I have two notebooks
          1. core2duo 2.33Ghz with gtx7950. runs at mid res\settings at 30-60 fps
          2. core2quad 2.53Ghz with 2x gtx280m in SLI. runs at about 180fps if framerate cap is off

UT3 is more likely to be CPU bound whereas most games are GPU bound, factor that into your considerations. Anyhow the two notebooks above should give you some idea. Hope it all works out and you can play
[EDIT] I forgot to mention notebook 2 runs at full detail and resolution. Res. for both notebooks is 1920x1200 1 has 4 GB RAM and the other 8GB. Dont think they really count much performance wise unless you dont have enough RAM of course... lol
