4 gb ram is good for ur PC. I would partition my HD . At least 1 partition for windows and drivers(if i had 1 hd only). I'd recommend 1 fast hd (or solid state if u can buy one ) only for windows,drivers and some apps .

Never forget : A balanced PC is the best thing . Ask before you buy imo. Im no expert but many guys here can help.

I have a BioStar MB
AMD Phenom 2 X2 cpu
At this time 4 gigs of ram later I am getting 8 gigs of ram
1 TB sata drive and and a dvd combo sata drive

I hope your educated enough to buy the 64 bit version of 7
