Your so full of it. I just happen to broke it out of no reason and by not doing anything? Is the fact that there have been complaints about this thing on these exact forums since 2007 telling that all those people just "broke" their game? I suggest doing some research before blurting out something so absurd.

I forgot i've been playing the game since 2007. And have experienced the issue over the years, and in all the cases i have seen it's a gamespy issue. aka when they mess it up, it affects everyone. If you get it every 15minutes, it's broken, try a new account, it's not Epic, it's Gamespy.

Try searching these forums for this bug, there have been complaints about this starting year 2007, continuing to 2008 and since I bought it, I have it as well. There were links to admin. replies on somebody elses complaint in y 2008 saying that they were working on the problem. Make anything you want out of it, as I see, it was nothing worth holding responsibility for them to actually do anything. That added with what I posted in the begining, a problem remains and not just for me in fact, and I doubt well see anything done about it.

I've been on these forums since 2008 (ignore my account creation as I didn't bother making one for ages). I don't need to search for this issue. I've had it in the past and it's currently rarer than ever. In the last 200+ hours of game play I haven't had a single disconnection issue. The only time I remember it really being an issue is the Steam free weekends etc when there was a sudden increase in users.

When the problem does appear and many users can't log in/disconnect constantly, it is normally resolved within an hour or two.

i honestly think i'm the only person who has not been plaqued by all the gamespy weirdness that everyone is always carrying on about.

i've only reinstalled this game twice, after serious hardware disasters, and no silliness. well maybe a little, but that would be my fault.

Regarding the duplicate login error...

A friend recently re-installed his game, and he's been getting the duplicate login error every 1-30 minutes. He is frustrated beyond belief, as the game is virtually unplayable online for him. This never happened to him in the past.

He tried creating a new login, and he got the error again within 2 minutes of joining a server.

I'd ask if anyone could help, but I've been around here long enough to know that there's no help to be given.

i'm curious to know if he's steam integrated. there's got to be something common to the people that are experiencing the duplicate login thing...

if it hasnt happened to you yet it wont happen ever. well thats the case with me. i have only got the duplicate login once in my 2 and a half years playing. maybe reinstalling would help?
