Yes the spider mine is in UT3. The ones I know it's in for sure are the DM maps Ocean Relic and Eden from the Titan pack. It's also in some other maps in other modes.

actually no, the spider mine layer from 2k4 is not a stock component in UT3. It has been somewhat remade in this mod/gametype:

This. Originally there was a "Canister Gun" planned similar to UC2, which combines all the above. But they scrapped this idea in favor of the new Bio Rifle and the Spider Mine Trap deployable.
