GameSpyID troubles

[unreal_player]

For those unfamiliar with GameSpy it makes the user pick both an ID and unique nickname which makes no sesne. For UT3 it doesn't let you use the nickname but rather the ID. Other GameSpy games such as Borderlands use the nickname. Is there a way to use the nickname with UT3?

For instance say my ID is UnrealPlayer but the unique nickname is UnrealPlayer5. I will need to use the one without numbers for UT3 but the one with the number for Borderlands.

Any ideas regarding this?

UT3 uses a different namespace than Gamespy and you will not be able to use IDs you make in the game in other games. That is unless you have created the name in Gamespy.
