    Centerview

    I was wondering if someone managed or knows how to get the centerview command working.
    In UTinput.ini there is a line with the following binding:
    Bindings=(Name="CenterView",Command="Button bSnapLevel")

    you can add another binding to bind the CenterView command to a key/button, but it doesn't do anything.

    I have searched these forums and others aswell but no luck yet..

    And yeah I can move the mouse so it centers the view, but that is not the point, I want to be able to center the view with just a press on a key/button.

    Thanks in advance!

    (also used the sticky keybinding tutorial with no luck)

      true :P
      But what I mean is e.g. when you look up (with your mouse) then you have to move your mouse 'down' again to look straight ahead of you again.
      So it's about rotating the player's camera view so it is in the begin/normal position again.
      Hope it is clear now

        Not sure about offline play (don't play it)... but in online play, center view is disabled and regarded as a cheat if a player attempts to "find" a way to enable it.

        This is because centerview generally puts your crosshair at the exact height of a headshot, eliminating the need for Y-axis aiming.

        ... my advice: don't mess with it.

          Oh I see,
          well I'm trying to implement it for an offline simulation project where there is no firing involved. I want to use it to recenter the view of the headtracker used as the controller, when it gets disoriented. Maybe the solution is more towards coding than some keybind, thought it would be easier if it could be done with some keybind.

            I created a topic with the same exact question in the past, the closest thing I ever got to centerview was a bind that aimed up and then down to the halfway from there, all within a few milliseconds. However the results were never consistent enough for it to work 100% of the time so I gave up.

              OMG LoL, it is regarded as a cheat, ya I would be a master at UT3, only if I could bind centerview.
