Problem registering my game on Steam, Key already in use!

I bought a retail DVD of Unreal Tournament 3..
Installed the game and played for while..

I later logged into steam to register my game there..
and it said that cd-key is already in use...
activation of Unreal Tournament 3 was not successful. etc......

My DVD came in a plastic CD box, and was shrinked wrapped.
I bought it from a "Game Crazy" gaming store.

Any help will be appreciated...

Hope you kept the receipt, take it back to the store and tell them the CD key has already been used. I'm pretty sure that's more then adequate grounds for a refund/replacement.

Isn't gamecrazy that Hollywood Video store?

If so, they shrink wrap used products all the time... wouldn't doubt they didnt try to get full price for it

Thanks, but that was the last copy of UT3,
I bought it from "Game Crazy" they are going out of business..
I bought this game because it was on clearence and Half Price... $7.50
I guess I can get a refund and buy it on Steam for $20.00

Another Note..
I just registered my game with Midway However it never asked for my CD-KEY.
It did ask for my "Game Access Code" I entered it and clicked submit, then got a Page Error.. I tried it several times...

I know a game case can be shrink wrapped,
Do you think someone stole the game code then sealed it back up..
or maybe this is an error with Steam..
Cause my game works fine, just cannot register it with steam...

Anyway, I'm really not that worried about it, I'm just glad I did'nt pay Full Price...

On the otherhand I'm going to purchase UT3 Black, on Steam for my Son...
that way it will update easy...

The bad news, it sas "ALL SALES FINAL" at the bottom
because they are going out of business...

well I am kinda ******, because I only bought it because it was $7.50,
other wise I probably would not have... although I do like the game..

Actually theres a place that you can complain on Steam about that, its a bug no one has used your cd key, search the steam forums.
