Ut3 chess

I have been thinking..

Do you think it's possible to teach ut3 to play chess ?

You can pretty much do anything with the UScript language, so yes.

You could use an open source chess AI and use UT3 merely as an interface.

Someone made a Minesweeper map for ut2004, I see no reason you couldn't do a chess game. You might wasn't to try with an easier game first, like tic tac toe.

It could be quite easy with an open source chess engine, and it would be quite strong. But why would you want to mod UT3 into a board game? Sounds silly to me. I'll just get my fix on chess.com. ;p
