Although I cant call myself a diehard EPIC games fanatic, I am however a firm supporter, being the proud owner of UT '99, UT GOTY '99, UT '04, and Gears of War. I recently got my hands on the PS3 slim, anxious to try out the new UT3 as ive heard split screen is now supported through update 2.00 (and my computer doesnt exactly meet the hardware demand). With some research, I bought a copy here in Japan after hearing that it was 100% bilingual. I got home and spastically set up the PS3 and jammed it in to download the new update and the titan pack ive heard so much about..... only to find out that epic has not released any supporting data for the japanese release of UT3... leaving me with no split screen and new maps; which is practically the only reason why I decided to go for the PS3 version. I dont know if you can imagine my disapointment, but i felt like throwing the game out the window and cursing the heavens. And to dig the dagger of eternal angst and misery deeper into my decaying heart, I found out that there is absolutely nobody that shared my disgust anywhere i searched on the web. Absolutely nobody knew anything about it. Which leads me here... to the heart of darkness in search of some light. I apologize for the long winded rabble, but please understand, I am thoroughly out of options, other than to reach into my starving pocket again..

I didn't realize they even released the game in Japan. I would suggest sending a PM to Flak(Epic Moderator) regarding your question. If the Japanese version is not supported you could always import the US version as there is no region restrictions on PS3 games.
Out of curiosity, when you launch the game did it prompt you to download anything at all? If so what version number does it list? -
thanks for your concern G33, the game didnt prompt for any download, so i searched through the internet and PSN (US, JAP, OCEANIA, EUR) to no avail. all updates available are not compatible with the japanese release of the game...Originally posted by Gate33 View PostComment

I dunno but maybe if you tried changing the regional setting for the PS3 (if its possible) and see if the updates show up for you.Comment
