Serverlist - Why are bots shown as players?

Hey all,

since 2.0 in the UT3 Serverlist bots are shown as normal players, but why?
I dont get it!

If I want to play online i dont want to play with bots, so its always the same sh..., i need to look which server has real players on it, and not only bots...

Is is possible to remove that permanently, like it was before?
Also for new players its stupid to find good servers...

you're mistaken... the latest patch (2.1) seperates bots and players. a plus followed by a number indicates bots.

Even with plus mark its "hard" to find a decent server. Its not a big problem, but it could be easily fixed with different colors. Just one look and there it is. Same could be used in game chat that next maps vote flood dont hide another players comments.

This is residue from the UT 2003/2004 server browser where Epic made the laughable mistake of counting bots as players. To this day the UT 2004 server browser is still screwed up. You can set up a filter (in UT 2004) so that servers with bots aren't shown but then you miss servers that have both players and bots. (The server browser in the original UT99 never counted bots at all.)

sucks ***. if u want to sort servers with max players they shouldnt count the bots for this selection.

The number before the "plus" sign is for real players, for example:

1+4 would be 1 live player and 4 bots

It s not normal to find bots in empty server xD .
If u don t look at the number of player before enter in game u ll be often surprise!
