In another attempt to get more people interested in playing custom Warfare maps a few of us at GOW are discussing what can be done. We are internally debating on having only 5 custom maps on our server to start and adding 1 new one per week.
Currently we have a ton of customs on our server, probably too many. Sometimes I dont have a map that gets voted and regardless of if I download it from the server redirect or where the map is hosted it takes awhile and I usually end up missing that round of play and not playing until a new map is selected. Plain and simple that sucks!
So we are asking for people to post their top 5 custom Warfare maps in terms of gameplay with up to 24 players. All input will be taken into consideration.
My 5 picks on what to start with:
1. WAR-Cavern: 2k4 Torlan remake. Yes 2k4 Torlan was and is a classic and still probably gets more play than all UT3 maps combined.
2. WAR-Death Dome: fun map with small filesize.
3. WAR-Rails
4. WAR-Dawn Revisited
5. WAR-TombOfAmunrah
*the current 8/11/09 top picks in this thread are:
1. Valley (8)
2. Alien Sands (assuming SE version) (7)
3. Beachfront (4)
after that there are a bunch of maps tied with 3 votes apiece.
