I wanna hijack this thread again: Hit me up in the game or on here if you're willing to duel with me frequently. I need to get better at that Cr4zy and Pinky, these pug duel servers = too much ping for me, this guy literally told me I got owned only because my ping was like 70-75 at least.

I beat some other dude twice in a row though and told him about his ping being worse and he would have none of it, insistin he just noobed out. Then he beat me once....go figure

But yo to everyone else, I play on Russian servers so anythin close, or if you're from anywhere close or got some good connection come school your boy on some duelin' I only got one "sparring partner" so far and he's still learning UT3 maps. He's gonna pwn you all and me though once he does since he played 99 and 2k4 and Top 5 in the city in Q3 at some point

The sound is just as loud, the steps are just less frequent, giving the impression it's quieter, but it's fairly useless to crouch in my experience.

The problem is your mindset. You think that because you don't have the shield belt that you have no chance to win. This is not true.

Yesterday I was dueling on DM-1on1-Pure. I had a bad start on ended up trailing 3-10 with no control over the belt and there were about 6 mins on the clock. Based on your post, you guys would have probably given up and gotten obliterated. But I knew if I got map control, I could make a comeback. My opponent was just destroying me with rockets. I wasn't doing a good job dodging them. So I deciding to time the rox and to not let him get them. I met him there and managed to kill him making the score 4-10. What I hadn't noticed earlier(cause I was getting owned so hard) was that he goes to the rox nearly every time he spawns. So I would just wait and set up traps. I managed to kill him 5 times going for the rox making the score 9-10 with about 1 min left. He started going on the defensive since the time limit was approaching. The belt was spawning in 20 seconds. I caught him off guard, killed him, and managed to grab the belt. It's 10-10. I'm trying to find him and get a spawnkill for the easy win. That backfired, he had a flak cannon and predicted where I went. Needless to say, I got 180 damage to the face as I hear "OVERTIME". I now have about 15 health and I'm running for my life. I got some health bubbles so I'm now back up to 65. The shield belt is spawning soon. We both get there and we're in close range. I managed to come out with the kill and the win barely. 11-10.

The point is that you should never give up no matter how bad the situation is. Also, EVERYONE gets owned when they first start dueling. So don't go into a duel and expect to win(or get a frag depending on who you're playing lol) if you're just starting out. I played XKaL1bur about 30 times before I managed to kill him once. And it took about 7 months of playing him before I managed to beat him in a duel. To this day, I've only beaten him 2-3 times out of probably 100 duels.

LOL I hope the story was interesting and I got to give a shoutout to Tourmenter. You were giving me a run of my money.
