    Still worth buying?

Hi there,i am interested in buying Unreal Tournament 3(PC) but i want to know whether are there a lot of people playing multiplayer. Isit worth it to buy UT3 or i should get UT03/04 to play with many people. If there are more people playing UT03/04 than UT3, are there still a fair amount of people playing UT3 so that i can still play it with human players online? Thank You for your Help.

What system are you using? I strongly recommend that you get the PC version of UT3 if you get it at all.

If you live in Europe you can find plenty of WAR/(v)CTF/(t)DM servers with people on 'em, and if you get bored of the competition on the public servers I can recommend #mpukut3.warfare on quakenet.

There is still people playing, the numbers ain't the greatest but if you look around you can usually find a game with people playing in it. Pends on what gametype your after and where you live.

          My Comp:
          C2D E7200 @ 2.53Ghz
          4 Gbs Kingston Ram 800Mhz
          Palit 4850 512Mb
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit operating system.

Does the location of where you live affects the number of players i can play with? I live in SEA so can i join servers in Europe or US or any other regions?

Buy both UT3 and UT2004. They're really cheap now anyway.

UT3 sure is pretty, and the gameplay in UT2004 is better than any other fps I've ever played.

Buy it, it's cheap and lots of fun. There were lots of players online this weekend. I noticed lots of newer players online all weekend. So, this is a pretty good time to get.

It doesn't rule out anything, but you'll get better ping to closer servers.

By "it" i guess u meant UT3.Alright then,i will get UT3.Thank you for your help,i appreciate it.

BTW,when i'm getting UT3,you guys think i should get Gears of War for PC too?I might get both if Gears of War has the same online population or a fair amount of people playing online.

Gears of War may look a lot like UT3 but it plays nothing like it at all.

Ok but maybe if i buy both i can switch between games depending on mood.So my question now is are the amount of people playing GOW is the same as UT3 or at least are there a fair amount of people playing? I think that's all i want to know.

                        Just thought I'd interject
I would suggest getting it on Steam, or if you've already bought the retail copy, register the cd key with Steam, I have always preferred getting games on Steam because of a few reasons
                        I'll mention a few of them now;
                        1. You NEVER have to worry/care about CD/DVD(s) scratching, getting lost, broken, etc. ever again
                        2. You don't need the CD/DVD to play/install
                        3. You game(s) is/are updated automatically, you don't have to download any patches manually ever again
                        4. If any harmful software/files ever find their way onto your computer and corrupt any of you game files, you don't have to reinstall the whole thing, Steam just recreates the clean/original version of the corrupt file(s)

Just adding my two cents in

I dunno about the online population of GoW, but maybe I should add that I did love the game (single player) although it plays nothing like UT3. It felt like those old shoot-'em-up games where you didn't move around freely but along a path, held a gun and aimed/shot directly at the screen. Only with good graphics and some really tough guys xD

UT3 is more fun... it has a smaller community than UT or UT2kx.. but the numbers are increasing as i can see (for UT3)
