Concerning MAC version

I read quite a few people asking for MAC version of the game... also i am waiting for it. Now since there is NO NEWS about it its understandable that they close threads about it.... as there is nothing new to add.

Except of course that you (as i did) can use BOOTCAMP of mac to install a windows XP on a spare partition and run the game in there.

Be sure that you not try to do it inside vmware FUSION but boot directly with bootcamp into the xp partition. I find it works like a charm... so you mac user should give it a go! ;-)

P.s. i ran into one guy a while ago who said he was able to use a linux ut3 client inside his mac os... but dont ask me how or what. Maybe someone here can say something about it. The guy sounded geniun in the game chat.. but cant be sure. And logically it is NOT OFFICIAL at all... no support for that either. Cant ****** EPIC with it!!! (naturally)

This isn't really anything new I've been running UT3 on a Mac via Bootcamp since day 1.
Works pretty good too.

While im here, ive not tried VMware fusion, but I know UT3 will not work in Parallels either.

The problem is, not everyone has an Intel Mac that they can install Windows on. So the PPC crowd get left out. Then again.. Very few of the older PPC based Macs would be up to running UT3 anyway.
Plus rebooting just to play a game can get tedious..

Ryan Gordon is known to still be working on the Mac/Linux versions however. But I believe hes doing it on his own.. Hence the delay.
Still, lets hope we see it while there is still some interest in UT3 left..

I tell you back in the day... i started my first company... there was no PC... no LINUX... hell NO MAC either! And yes i had a mouse... yes i had desktop... i had icons... i had menu... i had notepad.. calulator HELL YES I HAD PAINT IN THERE!!

You didn't exactly make it clear that you were replying to a locked post because you didn't provide a link to the locked post. Instead you just posted stuff that most Mac users have been aware of for well over a year.

I gave you a perfectly reasonable reply, and you come back with a bunch of irrelevant attitude, which was unnecessary.

As for hedsteem and music.. I don't like it either. But you know what? You can turn it off in Audio settings.

I took a wild guess pop that that would be before your time. As the last time i heard your voice you sounded ur like 25 years old or something. I could be mistaken. Anyways this is back in 1982. I started my first own business in those days and used GEOS as my virtual desktop. Did u ever use it or try it? Or if u an oldie... did u ZX spectrum or ATARI instead?

And why in earth are you acting like you dont know me, a few months ago u were screaming here that i was the guy who you banned and stuff. Now all the sudden u play fool?
