Is there a way to change your custom characters color scheme?

I was wondering if it is possible to change your character's color scheme so it stands out from the crowd. I play as reaper with horned helm, spkied shoulders and the like and i think it would look better with a different color. Any ideas? Is this even possible?

Then everyone would be changing their characters to be brown/gray, so they'd blend into the map.

maybe, but still it'd would be nice if they could do something like that just for fun.

You can change skin colors with utcomp but I don't think it's what you are looking for...
