did they fix the host match dmz error??

I have opened every port, i have a static ip, but I still get the cannot host must have an incopmatible router error. I even tried to enable the dmz still a no go, was hoping the patch would fix this. I have a linksys wrt54gs its only two months old help. I even tried win stun, removes the message but still no one can join.....!

If it has not been "fixed" ... Epic may not think this is an issue for security reasons ... then your half-cone router won't/can't be config'd to work with a server. You need a full-cone router. This has been addressed any number of time is other threads.

      Hmm.

sorry i am not familiar with how to find out which routers are full cone routers. My linksys is brand new, and your telling me that I can host a match because of the type of router it is. Even though it is one of the most popular routers out???? Theyre must be some kind of work around. If not what routers do you guys reccomend?

Here is a link to a page (not organized very well, IMO) that has the "NAT-type" for quite a few routers. Use Ctrl-F to search the page for "full-cone" to find routers w/ that NAT-type.

Also, if you search these forums for "full cone" or "full-cone" you will find quite a few threads with more info and a lot of nasty comments about this. I don't know why manufacturers do/don't implement full-cone in their various routers...nor why Epic decided to do UT3 such that it requires, when previous games did not. In any case, this is the way things are.
