    Steam sales blowing up for UT3 - a revivial?

    I'm trying to update through Steam right now and the dl is going VERY slow (and I'm on T3) - must be a huge load on their servers for this game?

    I'd like to think so, and I'd like to think it means a huge revival for UT3 - this time next week or so, we might have a seriously booming online scene

    anyone else experiencing this slow dl speed from steam or have any comments on this?

      Um yeppers. Some of my clan mates are trying to download the free trial and are getting 2.9 days till download starts! Yikes the weekend will almost be over before they get to try it out.

        it took me 5 tries to get the download completed (non steam) all the previous ones just kind of dwindled down to 0 KB.. 3rd FTP worked. reckon theres a lot of peeps getting it and the FTP's are struggling, which is great news once you get past the annoying part of it being hard to get.
        Seen a few reports of people saying steam is slow/failing too

          lol. The 2.9 days left isnt the time left until the dl starts. That number is just how much time is left in the free trial period.

            servers freaking too busy to handle my request... screw this i'll play killzone 2 for a while til it works lol

              yea this is crazy i started downloading this from steam at like 3 pm cst. its only 56 % done....ROFL!

                Why does it take so long with steam? I finished downloading thru filefront in an hour.

                  It is an 8GB install. That is probably why.

                    i'm on t3 though, so an 8 gb install still shouldn't take too long - i've dl-ed more before in a very short time

                    point is, the 'servers are too busy' and i can't play the freaking game lol
