Patch 2.0 issues

I just downloaded Patch 2.0, and I really liked the GUI updates.

When I join a server I cannot use the mouse or keyboard!!! I cant play!

The only buttons that works is TAB and F10. Not even ESC works. WTF???

Did any of you guys had problems like this with patch 2.0?

Help is needed.. I play UT a few hours everyday, so I cant live like this much longer

only problem i have is the awards have been bugging out, worked fine until i stopped playing through the new maps to change the bot count... now the awards don't work properly (pop up when completed a powerups on map award but it didnt say complete in the list) stuff not adding at all etc

Delete your ini files and let them get automatically recreated.

And if I want to delete the ini files..which files would I have to delete?

Back up your inis
Then Delete your inis
Start ut3, sign in to gamespy
From my understanding your inis get saved somewhere (Tied in with your gamespy account maybe *shrugs*)
If not, exit UT3, overwrite the new inis with your backed up copies.
Cross your fingers and hope it works!

Backup then delete. Worry about it another day. Btw most of the configurations can now be done ingame.

Or just delete your UTInput.ini

Can you please provide some more details so that the problem can be fixed in the future.

1. What OS you running?
2. Steam or Retail
3. How did you update? (From 1.3 to 2.0 or clean install)

server menu still sucks, the UI is better but still could have been much better, still choppy performance, server pings are rarely below 100. There are noticeable performance gains but still over all UT3 still feels half baked for the PC

I had the same problem after installing the patch and pack on top of Patch 1.3: InstantAction or on-line, could not move with either mouse or keyboard.

Deleting all of my .ini files (after backing them up, of course) caused UT3 to crash out of the gate. Reinstalling Patch 2.0 and the Titan Pack corrected all of the problems...except...

I had to do a little re-editing of my .ini files to do things like switch the console from F10 to the Tilde, make blue my default team, and turn off the start-up movies (spam ). I also had to reset my game video resolution. It remembered (via Gamespy?) my keyboard settings, my (custom) character, and most everything else.

Overall, after reading martinblank's suggestion about deleting the .ini files in this thread (thx for reminding me about this), the rest was painless since I've been screwing around with Unreal .ini files for 10yrs and the few corrections were no big deal.

The game is looking good.

...now to go update my server and see what probs that creates.

The awards only work with something to do with Steam, right? If so, I guess I'll do w/o them.

I had the patch half downloaded when they officially released it at 5:08 :P A lot of us were having the same problem in the AM. Just delete your inis and it works fine.

with all due respect to the OP i think your topic title is a little over the top. How often do you see a video game company give customers of an 18 month old game a massive free update like this and you call it a disaster, because of having to delete an ini file, that the game will rebuild anyhow. I appreciate that youve prob got to go to the trouble of pasting some stuff from your old ini into the one that the game made for you, but do you seriously think that thread title is what epic deserves after putting so much work into this for us to get it for free? If theres one day theyve deserved to have the UT3 community sing their praises its today. I think its extremely disrespectful to epic, although i understand your annoyance.

after server change map, in 90% of times, i lost my character and receive "demo" man...
