Hm, why is there no FOV over 100?

        I played UT3 @ 1680x1050 and UT2004 yesterday for a while at 1280x800, FOV 100. I couldn't stand it more than a few minutes either. I set it to an absurd value, 30 or so, didn't evne bother to move for more than 10 secs to see I'd get nausea or dizziness.

        Really, with an ideal solution or not, Epic should solve this problem. It has nothing to do with gameplay, or see more or less than others, but personal well being.

                Dunno about you guys but ive played ut from 99 with 110 fov and i know we really could use a fov over 100 with ut3.. no harm in there.. please?

                  They're not going to remove the FOV limit if they know they will have to fix more things.
                  It will go against their integrity as a company to break the unified style they worked hard to uphold.

                        When I ran a server I had a mutator that let you increase it and I set the max FOV to 120... didn't experience any problems with that FOV at all, makes it fair for the widescreen gamers that want their FOV at 105-110 to avoid the problems OP was talking aobut. X_X Proper widescreen support is definitely at the top of my wishlist for a future patch.

                            Everyone is arguing about advantage and how its unfair for each side but in my eyes its obvious:

                            If there is 1 player on a server with a 1ghz celeron and voodoo 2 should everyone else with core i7 and gtx 295 be made to play at the same frame rate as him? Lets face it he is at a major disadvantage!

                            Im afraid its his fault for not moving on with the times and buying a new pc and he just has to accept what he has got.

                            The same applies to widescreen, whether you like it or not 4:3 / 5:4 is becoming obsolite and as such either live with the fact that over time they will be at a disadvantage or do what everyone else does and buy a widescreen monitor.

                            I brought mine for the advantage it gives just like i brought my gtx295 for maximum frame rate. If people refuse to move on then its your loss. Epic give people the view they paid for.
