    Rankings normally dont mean anything, maybe it's a good motivation for the newcomers, but that's it. If you normally practice against skilled players u won't have a very very good win/loss ratio, just because the matches are so close, so basically the one that are owning noobs in public random FFA servers is the #1 ranked player, which doesnt mean at all that he's the best player at all . Normally you should rank yourself in placings in tournaments online and offline, unfortunately UT3 atm lacks tournament, there's clanbase and not even eurocup atm, which is a shame.

      rank means nothing it it randomly drops 40ELO... for a game that i leave, i leave other games where i massacre and headhunter etc, nothing adds.
      UT3 system is pathetic, new players come in, rank plummits no matter what you do.

        I think it should be true to get not much ELO-Points for only achieving your massacre or headhunter et cetera because you are not helping your team (i am talking to Warfare only atm!!) :-/

        Your team do win if someone is building nodes, killing enemy orbs, making core damage, et cetera, but not having these awards.
        And you should get points for healing your teammates. Sometimes that is more important than healing nodes...

        But far from that you are right ELO-Points really suck sometimes. Especially if you leave the map and drop a few points...

        Edit: On the other hand I know people that are just healing nodes and making core damage and they rise in leaderboards. Thats not the right way, too.
        I hope you get it right. Its nothing personal, I wanna just point out that its very difficult to do this leaderboard/stats stuff right.

        First you have to separate WAR/DM/TDM/Duel/CTF/vCTF and NOT pure or cutom...

            on pure yes :P
            For me it seems like pure = USA, custom = Europa
            We have mutators on the official Epic Server and you/NA not. lol
