Firewall problems

hey guys. I don't know If this belongs here or not. But I am desperate.
My Internet explored and mozilla firefox aren't working. First Internet explored wasn't so I used firefox. Now firefox isn't either. I did an Internet explorer diagnose and it said a firewall was blocking it. I can't launch my norton and my adaware is shutting down because of Internet problems. Help please!!

Its not a firewall problem, it's virus related!!

well i restored my pc and both were working. then i shut it down and updates installed, now only firefox works :/
