    hi there...

    you can use the PC Taunt Control to stop the taunts...which is a life saver by the way...the taunts annoy me so much i dont even want to play the game anymore...

    This mutator allows you to control the taunts the bots use.


    The mutator has the following options:

    Allow taunts
    Turns off all taunts except the weapon specific taunts. e.g. "And stay down".

    Allow mature taunts
    Turns off mature taunts (a very "PC" view has been taken as to what constitutes a "mature taunt") e.g. "Bull****".

    Allow weapon taunts
    Turns off weapon specific taunts e.g. "Green is your colour".

    Allow combat updates
    Enables combat updates such as "man down" and "I need backup".

    Allow status updates
    Allows status updates such as "In position", and "Roger".

    Allow friendly fire messages
    Turns off friendly fire messages such as "I'm on your team idiot".

    Allow objective updates
    Allows objective updates such as "enemy flag carrier is here".

    p.s....if anyone can cook the taunting control for the ps3 that would be greatly appreciated...

    In other words, 2/3 of the control has been taken away from us, a trend disturbingly repeated throughout many areas of the game. Patch 2.0 at least seems to make some attempt to rectify certain areas, but it is unlikely that this is one of them.
    Taunting and Voices overall have been stripped of ALL function and features to be pretty much useless key mashing randomness and theres no sign this is adressed in the next patch or the Titan pack.

    It's too bad too because the voice work is mostly really good in UT3 but we have no control over it and no possibility of doing ANY voice modding because character customization seems to be another of the missing pieces in this version of UT.

    I'm hoping this or some kind of improvements in this area are among the updates that didn't make it in to the changelist. Especially as it relates to team games which really need help with command selection)

    * Voice Selection Menu (on Character select screen, so you can choose which Voice you want to use)
    * Custom Voice pack support (on and offline)
    * Taunt Selection Menu (that actually lets you choose a Taunt from a list)
    * Command Selection Menu (that actually lets you choose a Command from a list) < -this one is really needed for team games
    * Play Taunt animations without having to play voice taunt, Option to
    * Talking Animation (include one)

    It would be cool if when taunting, an icon in the minimap or something was shown during that moment revealing the taunting player's position. Maybe an arrow in the screen showing the direction where the voice came from. It would also add a strategical point on taunting, especially in duels.
    By the way, at least in the spanish version of ut3 the 'eff yeah' taunt has been translated with its entire meaning...

    Epic about these taunts. Can you please make it so if you use a taunt there is a risk. The risk is a part of the taunt. Having the ability to shot and taunt at the same time to me is not very good. Plus it just looks wrong to be sliding around while not moving your feet. What are they on invisible Rollerblades now. So this is what I would like to see. A high risk taunt where your character stands and taunts but you can't shoot. Like maybe tea bagging your enemy. HA that would funny. But there is a chance that someone can shoot you while your taunting so that is the risk. And then there would be a low risk taunt where your character can still run around and shoot but the taunt would be toned down. There should be a risk.
