Yes, and the default "B" button is kind of a pain to press while playing. I would recommend changing it to a different key next to your movement keys (WASD) or even better, a button on your mouse

For some it works, for others, it'll sound like broken up gibberish. Give it a try and see what sort of response you get.

The only time I ever heard it work (pc) some drunk loser was singing nonsense while evryone typed for him to stfu. The PS3 chat function works very well, and default is the right directional button (on the left side "cross" shaped 4 buttons) but most people map it to L2. Don't play 360, no idea about that. PC I use GSC, the older one.

It talk on Ventrilo all the time, but I have heard some people talk in-game, although it was hard to make out what they were saying.

Your best bet is to get on a Ventrilo or TeamSpeak server with your friends when you play.
