    New Powerup

So we have the power up double damage and beserk,

What do you guys think about a power that would double the weapons in your hand, like for 30 seconds play with two rockets launches or two avrils or so on, you get the idea. Just thought I'd though it out there because I was just playing on a server yesterday and had an epiphany.

It would be pretty sweet. Happy Fragging o/, Infra`

DD and Berserk are superior to that imo. Berserk is inferior to DD anyway...not really sure why they made it.

Well it might not be necessarily more powerful, but just think if you had two different cursors at the same time. Imagine two shock combos next to each other (how sexy), or instead of 3 rockets in a line, being able to spam six. (like back in the day :P) It would have its few advantages that the other power ups couldn't offer.

If nothing else, the Berserk is useful because it refills all your ammo, including the hard-to-find Avril. Double the rate of fire also increases your hit probability, which is useful e.g. in a turret against fast moving targets. Finally, it works a miracle on the Hellbender.

don't forget that the powerups' effects stack so berserk + Udamage + infra's akimbo powerup would be... 8x damage.

So if you already have 2 Enforcers, you'd get 4?

Imagine having 4 Enforcers with Berserk AND DamageAmp.

What is that infra's akimbo powerup?!
                ________

My opinion to the main topic:
I like those powerups and I think they are very useful.
I don't think that we can simply say "The one is better than the other".
                It depends on the situation!
                (Weapon, players and so on).

                Example:
A good player fires an Avril and aims very late the enemy.
In this case the berserk won't help you much because you won't use its speed bonus.
The double damage would be more effective because you only have to concentrate in one hit.
(Furies, Raptors will be destroyed immediately).

                Other situation:
2 enemy Vipers are coming and trying to kill you and you have the Longbow again.
In this case I would prefer the berserk because 1 shot is enough for one (normal case).
2 quick shots without a big aiming are more important I guess (in this situation).

                Again another:
An enemy has your flag and tries to move away by the hoverboard.
I would prefer the berserk because I only would have to hit him 1 time (for example with Shock Rifle).
                (If he doesn't have 199 shield^^).
He falls and it is no problem to kill him.

I think the main advantage of the double damage is the 1st shot.
If it really hits an enemy, it is definitely a good bonus.
                (Perfect for a Sniper).
Berserker is more for spraying and if your aim is sometimes not very good.
And as said: Berserker gives you full ammo which is very effective, too.

                Short summary:
Get both and be a Juggernaut

                    Small question:
Is there an advantage if you take the berserk power-up and use the link gun alt fire?
I can't imagine an advantage right now and I did not compare it until now.
UDamage + link gun alt fire makes it stronger (yellow beam), but can it be faster, too?

                    Edit:
I think I can remember that vehicles will be healed faster.
So I guess the HP of your enemy should decrease faster as well...

Yeah it does more damage per second compared to the normal link alt. It's more powerful which is why you are able to heal vehicles faster.

And what about adrenaline? Ut2k4 had such feature (very useful in DM) but it has been taken out in ut3
