    [PC] Quality down of eurpean Epic Midway Warfare servers?!

    Hi all,

    well, i think all is said in the thread title: i dont know what happened to the european Epic Midway Warfare PC servers, but their quality has really decreased, lags, high ping, whereas they were the "top quality" WAR servers 3 monthes ago...

    Is there a reason the quality down?
    Can we expect a better quality of official WAR servers?

    - Remove r3port3r and get real admins to monitor the server like UMG does.
    - Server ads? Wtf is with the Euro obsession with those? Truth is, most people couldn't give a toss about the trivial and pointless messages that are put up in servers.

      The Epic Midway servers barely show up in the browser,crashing or just offline? When they do show , after patch 1.3 I don't see any with ping below 200 ,join and the situation is obviously much better ping wise. In fact, playing in Europe the US UMG server is often top of the browser WAR list, shown with the lowest ping .

        I am on the US East coast. I see pings between 100 and 300 on both the 24 and 32 player. Every time I refresh the number changes. When I join it's usually a pretty good connection, but, sometimes the variable lag makes it tough to hit what your shooting at.

          I think there are too many standard servers in UT3.
          90% of servers are standard servers (normal maps/not custom). And for the 10% it's sometimes difficult to get good one with good ping and good maps ..
          Epic should add a 48 or 64p test gameserver so they could fix lag and crash issues with 32+ gameservers checking into gameserver logs. Multiplay had added one when patch 1.2 brought 32+ gameserver support but they removed it because of crashes,lag,...

            UMG had one for a while too, but was shut down for the same reason.

              32 players makes gameplay laggy -Everyone was saying that server multithreading got broke by the patch and was never fixed. That's why all the Epic Midway servers became 12-16 players because they couldn't handle more players whilst running on just 1 core. I don't know whether this has subsequently been fixed but it is still very laggy on full 32 player servers.
