Hmm you are right... Though on some servers, admins stick around and kick those guys.
And I was thinking about PUGgers and scrimmers invading a server, not really a solo adventure on enemy territory

I don't know if you are sarcastic or arrogant, that way of behaving destroys a community of gamers. Virtual elitism, haha; e-***** for the win!

with some exageration and maybe not the best way to say it, unfortunately he also happens to be right on the cheating part.

But, that wouldn't be common if lots of vets played on pubs in the first place, right?

To be honest, there isn't that many decent "Real Weapon" players left that i've seen.. Alot of the guys I play Insta with could qualify for aimbots because they are that trained

Insta is quite hard to get used to because you only get one shot and your dead, I like it like that, no faffing about and the competition is solid!

Come play some insta and see how much fun it is!

I agree with sickboogiemurder. Noobs need to be taught how to play. The first question I ask during a warfare match is "who has a mic?" If you have a mic, I am going to endow my thimble full of knowledge on you. Listen up.

still amazes me the attitude of some people online. i've been playing for like 10 years now but still trying to improve and i certainly go on a pub to have fun and practice. but some people on there just slate others, talk **** and put down other players. alot of the good ones get harassed for using aimbots when they are just good. when it is pretty easy to judge when someone is aimbotting.
i only play DM, insta is good for aim practice but does get old quick, good old normal DM for me.
also if someone needs help or advice i'm more than happy to lend a hand or give tips, some people just need to chill out and not take the pubs so serious.

I was gonna respond with "play for fun ftw", but that'd send out double messages

The thread is going to opposite direction I intended I mentioned DM and CTF players, exactly because there isn't any problem mixing players of different skill levels, not to flame anybody.

But since the focus is now how noobs can ruin the game, a small rant about Orbfare:
Try to play like I do for a few weeks, without depending on the existence of the Orb, do the boring stuff if needed, think about what noobs or your full team can't figure out for themselves and try to fill the gaps, control your self-defense and survival instincts... Do the flak dance of death around that **** node, finish the remaining 10% and avert the flood, instead of turning around and get an extra frag. Soon you will understand why the noobs aren't really the ones to blame.

Then maybe you should try WAR. First of all, it is not frag oriented, the score system is different. You will not stand out like that and will not be accused of anything. You can be extremely effective as Orb runner and get your way through 3 or 4 guys. You can prevent captures with well timed combos or whatever. Even if in the beginning don't have practice using vehicles, your movement skills are very important to dodge and kill powerful ones. Your aiming skills are extremely useful, if you are an hitscan guy, just give the Nemesis a try I could go on...

I bet a lot of the guys complaining about noobs ruining games would be considered major noobs to a lot of other players

getting things perfectly balanced on public servers is something that's rarely going to happen, it's a mixture of a broad spectrum of skills and playing styles, UT3 has a very long, steep learning curve and where else are the poorer players gonna learn to get better if it's not on pubs?

If you want a competitive match, play some pugs or arrange some clan matches, complaining about the standard of player on the public servers is pointless

Everyone needs to remember that they all were noobs once too!
                          How did you get better?
                          hmm...
                          let me think....

Elitism is killing the playerbase faster in ut3 than the actual game is.

                              how exactly?

most of the 'elite' players stick to their own circles & don't bother pubbers who are trying to learn

Unless you fill an empty pub of your choice, which is the point of this thread!

How can _anyone_ spec "top" players of some game types and become enthusiastic about the game, see insane frags, movement ..., by looking at the server browser? When more than half of the community is just not visible. Please no pointless answers like "you this and you that and you should join...". I'm talking about any guy that bought the game, not even knowing this forum.

                                Go on, explain me. Someone.
