    Is it worth it?

I haven't got the game yet but all I'm hearing is good things... So I just want to ask, I no its hard to find a match online but is UT3 worth buying?
BTW I'm Aussie and if there are any out there let me know what you think of the game...

Ping is a bit of an issue if you're an Aussie player. Obviously you'll get a low ping on the Australian servers (which is a good thing) but they're not that highly populated most of the time. There are always populated servers, it's just that most of them are US or European servers which you'll have a high ping on. So what it comes down to is whether you're willing to play on some servers which you'll lag on.

With that said, between Thursday and Sunday inclusive, you'll usually find some populated Australian servers to play on. Any healthy gamer also has a life outside of gaming so as long as you're not after 4 hours of gaming every night, there are enough Australian servers out there for you to be able to enjoy the game.

As for me, I like the game. I mainly play the Warfare gametype as I feel that it's the most accessible game type to casual or new players. The reason being that most Warfare maps (unlike VCTF) aren't one dimensional and there are multiple objectives you can go for.

For pc it really isn't. Still heaps of crashes and shutdowns and still no solution after a good 10 months. I love ut but thats just the truth, I reckon console don't have crashes tho.. they saved that for the pc users. But it will go slomo mode on the console. I heared some retirement homes play it on there weekly bingo evening over here.

i paid full price the weekend of release for a metal can, with a book of art. i've played it on the 360 once. i play about 40% online 60% off. and even if i played offline online, with all the maps an mods out there, i could have fun off or just lanstylee.
so my answer still is yes.To me, it's worth it.

I bought 2 copies and a computer fast enough to play it on.

I gave away one copy and have not started the other in a couple of months (except by accident).

I'm playing UT2004 most days because I prefer gameplay over graphics, and dislike the "wading in custard" feel of UT3.

Brilliant engine. I wish I loved the game.

I'm running it on a 8400GS for 2 or 3 months and it didn't crash yet. I think you should take a look to your computer

As far as I'm aware there isn't an xbox demo out atm. From what I can tell the game (even off line) is gona be worth what I'm paying (less than half price) The trade in if I don't like it is more than I'm paying. I'd like to thank you for your input guys.
