Bit of confusion

I'm looking to buy a new 360 game and I've looked at UT3, but the one thing that hasn't sold me yet is the split-screen. I know by reading that you can have a co-op game over XBL with split-screen, or a bot game on the same console with a friend, but does the same thing apply for the campaign? Would I be able to play the single player campaign with a friend next to me, off-line, and on the same console?

Yes you can play campaign in splitscreen.

It's 4-player co-op btw, but only 2 player splitscreen.
