On the Xbox version of Unreal 3, how do you get the weapon achievements?
I've played a lot of instant action-can you get achievements there? Or online only? And if online only, does it have to be ranked?

You can only get the achievements in multiplayer, which is system link, player match, and ranked match.

You can just do bot matches in SL or Player Matches to get them, if you'd like.

Not unless it says so in the achievement description, like "Untouchable".

How do you get big game hunter?

15 Kills with the AVRiL. You can tag peds or occupied vehicles, they both count.

You can't get the AVRiL (or the Biorifle for that matter) in the Weapon Replacement Mutator, so you'll have to find a level that has it.

I suggest doing Necropolis VCTF (lots of AVRiL ammo handy). Or do a map with the AVRiL and a Berserk powerup (fills your weapons' ammo up).
