    Age of UT3 players

I just thought about the point that it would actually interest me what average age the majority of UT3 players in the community have ... because it's not necessarily a kid's game in my eyes. The console versions might rather be played by younger people though. What do you think?

So ... in what age category do you fit? Are there exceptionally young or old players? I somehow can't imagine still playing shooters once I'm over 30 or so...

    I'm 23 btw.

On a personal level it's hard to believe that I'm 22 (well, I will be in August). I started playing UT when I was only 16. I miss those care free days of fragging.

i'm 39 - I don't play games very much at all, just a little UT3 and in the last few months I've been trying Portal out - almost done. I'm more into UT3 for the editor though. If Epic didn't release the editor with the game, I would never have bought it. I did play and map for UT2004, then before that was... Lode Runner on my Commodore 64!

39 in a month's time, born in the summer of 69, and named after the astronauts that landed on the moon, thankfully my hippy parents didn't name me Moonchild. : D

I know what you mean. Same situation here, though I've only recently turned 21.

I don't play UT3 anymore but still play the occasional game of ONS in 2k4.

I know this sounds like a jerk thing to say but this poll is gonna be biased, what it's really measuring is the number of UT3 players that roam the UT3 forums. One could speculate that this is more closely measuring the avg age of hardcore UT3 players, but I'm not sure. Sorry if this comment sounds annoying lol, I'm in research mode (im at work)

Edit: although i do like the thought

Good idea for a poll! I hope I will still be playing games the day I die :P:P

17, played my first UT game at around 12/13. Got it from my Dad, who played it at work (ICT) if they were bored or who knows when. My dad got beat so asked me to play for him (He worked at home 2 days a week back then). Then he suddenly was the best player (me :P )
