Can I Play W/o Bots In MP?

So i wanted to know if i can play multiplayer without bots over xbox live without going in actual online matches, so it could be me and three other friends or something similar to that so i could play a "private" game with friends?

yes you can. go to host match: select your gametypes and maps and whatever you and your friends want to play. then turn of bot combatants, and put the private slots at the same level as max players. then invite your friends and youre ready to go.
