ST2, the last of the ladder, with a bad sportmanship, using all maners to win easily: demmers, shape charge, base raping with mines or at spawn points... victory, vicory, victory at all cost.

i don't see why some1 shouldnt use the shaped charge to destroy a node or a redemeer too, really i dont understand why its "bad sportmanship" and when i have the occasion, i always use them, and also when i can i always even teams (even if i know im gonna lose). if the epic guys putted a redemeer in downtown they wanted you to use it in my opinion

Titan ONS is/was the best community I played with, and I miss the whole lot of them in UT3 - I wish they had made the jump because the game is poorer for it.

Public Servers need more good sportsmen. I have lost count of the number of games I have played where one team is stacked - and has good regular players - who then proceed to annihalate the other team round after round, match after match. It is the most basic common sense to swap better players over to the other side until a balance is reached. If people do not have fun playing the game, they will **** off to COD4 or TF2 much quicker. I do not see why this is so difficult to understand but my recent experience on the server shows that very few players are actually interested in having a fun game, and like Tenebre said, would rather just kill less-skilled players repeatedly. A lot of our good players are playing PUGS most evenings so that makes it harder.

Anyway, if you find a balanced 12-v-12 or 16-v-16 match on the pubs, the experience is much better. If more players practiced fair play and good sportsmanship, we would have a better community.

Yeah, Tenebre has some good points, but I don't agree with the part about the pugs suffering from bad sportsmanship to the same degree as the pubs, or WAR requiring more than 5on5 either.

Balance in the matches n balance between pubs n pugs m8.I like pubs but i really enjoy a good pug.We should support both.

Apologies for the lack of updates for this cup but unfortunately it is because there is nothing to update. Not a single match has been played or arranged since the GER vs UK match . I'm hoping that the teams who have yet to play their games get off their derriere and organise their matches as I dread their will be a drop in interest for this cup and we may have to cancel the whole cup. Multiplay have taken back the servers as we took too long to play the matches so if teams wanted to continue with this cup they will have to use the mpukunreal.warfare pickup server. This is my plea to the teams: Please don't let this cup die

Not always easy to switch tho - we just need better team randomisation between games

I've watched the demos... you lot scared them off - No doubt tho, an invitational team could be put together that would give you lot real problems

That i said and what i will say are my personnal point of view and feelings about the UT3 euro WAR community.

Speaking competitively, coming from ONS, where no superwepons were allowed, i dont agree with the actual CB WAR rules, and the use deemer for exemple.

On Downtown, (i just remember you that a ladder match is 5v5), i dont know how many match we have lost in 3 minutes, but just a lot. Taking a deemer at prime and after that a shaped charge on the core while oponent tank is going to camp in our prime... are you starting to understand what i am talking about?
Another exemple, if mining base or primary spawn point in floodgate is not bad sportmanship, i guess what it is... I can already see people coming here saying: "its a tactic, blablabla...", I wont try to argue with this kind of guys.
You know, when is clan is really stonger that another one, does he need to use those things to win? I dont think so, its just make the time of the game shorter than it should already be.

IMO, there is just maner and Maner to win a match, i am an old school player, and to me, things like this are important.

And with ST2, we always got pwned and will continue to be pwned in nearly every game types we play, but we dont care, we play because we like the game, to have fun, and we will get an honor point to try playing with respect and sportmanship of opponents, that is the ST2 Spirit

For my vision of pickups, i admit that i just played a few ones, but they haven't given me the envy to continue them, making remember me the CB matches (cf downtown with tank camping, floodgate with lame spiders...), maybe it has changed but anyways as I said, I prefer play big action pub, where we do not seen enought pickup players.


To comeback to the cup subject, i really hope that all matches will be played, because if its not the case, this will mean that the euro WAR community will have failed... Is there a lot of match to be played?
I won't have internet during 1-2 monthes, so i just hope that when i will be back, this cup will be finnshed with a nice happy end, and see more pickup players on pubs

We can't really declare a winner overall although group wise as it stands only UK and Finland didn't loose a game in their groups.
Everygame that we played was great fun all the games I watched were fun. But lack of interest in the cup the game the competitive side of warfare, let us down. Like Nammo I hope the rest of the games get played otherwise it's a bit of a mess. We don't have the servers we had before but if teams decided to play within the dates then we would have been done before we can make use of the pickup server if we need.

It does seem that the competitive warfare community is dying.

Then lot of skilled players and others less skilled started to play 5v5 pickups, again and again, and this majority of players simply denigrate publics games, which is IMO really not the behaviour than a true community should have.

And the few pickups i played, had similar behaviour, with not a lot of teamplay, and very selfish... this is one the reasons i dont play pickups, and TBH, i totally prefer a good 12v12 or 16v16 warfare, like in ONS

Well, I play with American peeps. You should join, despite the higher ping. One of the reasons is because there are no such dramas on that side of the Atlantic
