No, they just tell you how much traffic there is between you and the server. Lower values mean that not much stuff is happening around you, like when you're away from the action in some distant corner of the map collecting health. When there are more players near you, the In rate goes up because the server has to send you information about them such as their position, weapon and skin.

Less action, lower values. More action, higher values.

Rates, packets and bunches are more or less linked to each other, so they usually go up and down at the same time.

So highter values In rate and Out rates are recommanded for an optimal performances?
Is it the same fot the packets and bunches? Will the highter value be the best?
There are no better or worse values for those as such, they merely reflect how much load is being put on the network.

    If i remember correctly...

    - Channels: The number of objects (players, items, etc.) that's state is currently being updated

    - In Rate (bytes): Your "download" speed from the server in bytes per second

    - Out Rate (bytes): Your "upload" speed to the server in bytes per second

    - In packets: Packets received from the server per second

    - Out packets: Packets sent to the server per second

    - In Bunches: Object updates per second you're receiving from the server

    - Out Bunches: Object updates per second you're sending to the server

Netspeed sets the maximum download an upload rates and you usually don't have to tweak it unless you have a really slow connection.

    F6: net informations and values

    Hi all,
since i play online UT games, I always guessed what were all the net values when you press F6:

    So, there are:

    - Ping: no problems with that, the less ping you have, better it is.

    - Channels: ???

    - In Rate (bytes): ???

    - Out Rate (bytes): ???

    - In packets: ???

    - Out packets: ???

    - In Bunches: ???

    - Out Bunches: ???

    - Out Loss |
    |--> Packets lost, or not. Zero p/l is the best to play online.
    - In Loss |

So, names with the "???", can someone explain what it is please. Is there a link with your netspeed and their values? Which value is the best: highter, lower?
Working...
