    UT3 on a lappy

    Hi,

Anybody had any success running UT3 on a laptop? If so can, u share the specs please.

    Thx

You will need quite a lappy. An official "gaming" lappy. A dell inspiron will not cut it. Intel graphics will not cut it.

Just look at the system requirements for the game, and extrapolate that onto a laptop and add 20% to be safe.

    Alienware
    Dell XPS
    Sager
    Rock

    And a few others....

Im running it on a Dell Inspiron 9400. (core 2 duo 2ghz, 2gb ram, 7900GS Go 512mb). I can get 30-50 fps fairly consistently playing VCTF on low-med settings. It does lag an awful lot if theres alot of players in one area though. My advice is to get XP, since I suspect vista is sapping alot of the power.

I play the game on an HP Pavilion dv9548us.

        Specs:
        Intel C2D T5450 @ 1.66 GHz
        2gb RAM
        Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS
        Windows XP
I believe the harddrive on here is even 5400 RPM.

The game runs fine on medium settings at one of the lower resolutions. Right now, I'm running it comfortably at 1024x768 with texture detail on 4 and world detail on 2.

Great price but **** cpu and 8800 GTS rather than GTX.

Unfortunately both Dell XPS 1730 and alienware are shipping with a 2 month delay in the UK (coming back to the short end of the stick non-US gamers tend to recieve somebody made today lol). This should do though:

Innstaled it on my brothers lap. It is an Acer.

                Intel duo core
                Nvidia 8600 256mb
                1 or 1,5 gig ram
                Windows Vista

Thats what I know. It ran the game good. But I think with XP it is a bit better
