Does that "dodge" have a hemi?

Returning to the world of UT after a long layoff. (I have been playing BF2 and BF2142) Starting with deathmatch online while I learn the new game modes and maps. The thing have noticed online is that everyone is using dodging nearly 100% of the time. I mean no regular movement at all! Is everyone out there learning to double click like a madman or is there some keyboard or macro setting that enables this?

I guess you could set up a macro or something for it but I just double click a lot. It's not that hard.

It isnt hard, to get you started keep forward movement pressed then dodge sideways (doubletap a or d) and move you mouse accordingly to move forward.

See that wasnt hard and if you need a macro for that, well. That isnt the only way to move around so just get your own style, whatever works for you is right. Just dont start tapping W like a madman. :x

Yeah the diagrams help to visualize whats going on when you are doing the movements, it is alittle technical I thought but its a useful guide and reference.

To note though walldodging has changed in UT3 and works alittle differently, theres now an apex so if you hit at the very peak you get more upwards movement same if you are already moving downwards. There also seems to be a wider angle allowed between the player and the wall where in 2k4 its much more limited, well thats what I get from playing it havent looked entirely over all the code so I cant be 100%
