controversy started, lol. guys don't get me wrong love the music. But you wanna hear that vehicle or shot coming from behind you, Fun is all good my comments are focused towards competition players, if one my players is not focused in a match or scrim, he will be substituted, no excuses.

Some can play with music , yes agree but mostly campers that have there *** to the wall just picking off noobs, or camping with a vehicle or turret. Then probably it could work out. I'm all over the map at all times although I'd love to listen to music it just not practical, since even with out the music the one way I die the most is still from the back attack. Further more my attitude is win every time even if its just a public server, call me a sore loser or what ever you want but Wrath and losing doesn't mix well.

I didnt mean for this to be started as a competition against who can and cant do what. on a public server yes u can expect to see camper thats normal. i was more referring to actual games like scrims. on vent or any voip i agree music kills it bc it not only knocks off them but knocks u off focus aswell. but in a friendly scrim with no voip theres a group that can play the music and still be focused if not more so then they would be trying to listen for every little sound. tbh this kinda topic is one which could have too much controversy bc its agreeable and not at the same time. this can be really conroversal in 1v1 area. maybe we could talk in xfire or somthing intead of making post after post, this is starting to go off topic o.o

I stick with in-game music. Well executed, though Unreal songs never really went down well with me, bar the original Unreal game.

Its funny. Whats wrong with having the music turned low enough to still hear everything. In most games I would have the ingame sounds totally drown out the music playing in the background, the only time I really hear it is when nothings happenning any way. I would never have the music louder then the in game sounds. Not even close. I assume this is the way most would do it.

You can, the problem is if your in the middle of a dm scenario everything else kinda gets blocked out and you become an easy vehicle target. Yet music is a matter of choice, a lot of the times it is not necessarily that you can hear the vehicle but that most players can't hold the temptation of not firing the primary weapon when trying to run you over and give away their position with that action. Weapon fire you can def. hear.

Something else I forgot to mention: I used to listen to UT2004's music all the time while playing (sometimes while not, as well). Gonna play some of my favorites on winamp. Should be interesting to mix the feel of the songs with the feel of UT3.
