    Have you ever played CTF without the trans?

    Without the translocators, there is no way to catch enemy FC and the gameplay becomes TDM with a poorly thought out primary objective. You get offense vs. offense fights, and defense sits at the flag room.

    There's a reason that UT99 CTF is still considered the best of the 4 versions; and much of that has to do with the translocator design in that game and the advantage it affords defenders over the movement of the FC.

      I'd have to vouche for this change as well but sadly it seems the dev's of UT3 have drastically different opinions on game mechanics than the actual veteran competetive players of the original game (and even its successors).

        Have you ever played it without?

        Movement is a huge factor and having offense coorporate with defense is necessary. It's all about how tactical you want your gameplay. The translocator imo ruins alot of the tactics involved.

        How do you think instagib is?
