UT2D - awesome!

this game mode is too fun . i don't know how many maps the PC has, but there are 3 now for the PS3...and they all rock. this would be the cat's pajamas with 2P splitscreen!

Forget about splitscreen. This thread is about UT2D. What is that exactly? I've never heard of it.

it turns the game into a side-scroller. it is so cool. kind of like playing contra on the NES...if you can recall what that was like. none of the stock maps are compatible, though...as they are too 3-dimensional. the custom maps made for UT2D are very basic with movement pretty much restricted to left and right. i recommend giving it a try. it defintely adds a refreshing twist to capture the flag.

UT2D-Ducts 1.0 - This is my map. It's on a smaller side of things and can get pretty frantic, though there are places you can fall back to.
UT2D-Sewers 1.0 - This is GoodAndy's map which is more on the larger end of the scale.[/url]

At the moment Chaotic (included in the mod download), Ducts and Sewers are the only maps that work with UT2D 1.0 but in time the other maps will probably be updated.
There's also an increased probability of new maps now that UT2D is out of beta.

OMG! This is must have mod.

I think camera should be little more far away, and if someone could make grappling hook or similar, playing would be very interesting! Imagine CTF or TDM in 2D...
