For some reason whenever I try and play multiplayer my game is always choppy. Even though I have DSL and I try joining games that have less than 100 ping. Anyone know why I might be pinging so bad and how I can fix it?

common mistake there. A higher bandwidth, ie 11MB, doesnt mean better latency (ping). The bandwidth is simply how much data you can cram down your line at once, resulting in downloads completing faster.
Ping is a measure of the time it takes to communicate back and forth with a server. Electricity takes time to travel, and its signals takes time to be generated encoded and read.
The greater the distance between client and server, the longer the process takes - regardless of bandwidth size (unless you get down to the extremes, like 56k/64k... which is another matter).
Also a large problem with latency is the quality of local telecommunication lines. If you connection to a major backbone is dicy it can add a large delay. For example, my connection recieves an instant 70ms penalty anywhere further than ~1km from my house... pretty lousy!

i have been experiencing some massive packet losses recently also, sometimes it helps to enable DMZ on your router and point it to the PC your gaming one, on several ocassions packet loss dropped to zero as soon as i pointed DMZ to the right PC (or it could be the router reset which occurs when you change settings i don't know)
