PS3 UT3 server with 70 players ???

I have been playing UT3 online all day today. I needed to stop because I need food....
One of the matches today I was playing had over 70 players online on a pure server today, it wasnt a huge map so you can imagine it was manic!
The huge variety of maps and game types this is just completely outstanding. (check out the Dark Walker...)
A couple of tips which worked for me which you may find useful.
1. the game is network heavy so use a wired connection unless your PS3 shows the wireless signal strength as > 90%. This also means its sensitive to a poor network connnection. I think they are working on this, but to be honest sort your network out if its not good.. (I also heard that wired is always better than wireless by the way)
2. When you go online search for pure servers = yes., this means you wont get PS3 users who are sharing their PS3 hardware which doesnt work as well (god knows how it manages everything)
3.select "Join Game", not "Quick Match". Join Games gives you a list of servers, from which you can pick one with low "ping" value in the list (low ping means the network round trip is short)

I know what you mean I had the same impression. But all I can say is try it - I was playing the "biohazard" map it had 70 odd players. Dont know if any where bots rather than people logged in, but it didnt seem that way to me..
Played another game just now that had 53 players...
Maybe they are doing some testing...
