Link gun question

Hey,
I got a question about linkgun...
When I play with some bots offline and the bots are shooting the link gun beam it seems the beam is connected to me... ... don't know how to explain
It's like when you shoot at a player with the linkgun beam and then you shoot next to the player and you don't hit him anymore... duhh. But when bots shoot at me and then next to me the beam just stays connected to me, but with an inflection in it and then i just die allllll the time because the stupid beam stays connected to me. Sooooo my question finally: How can i make my beam stay connected to the opposing player?????

That's because the bots have perfect aim. You just need to try and keep your crosshairs over your opponent.
